The Master thesis investigates problems, facing migrant students in Georgia and state integration policy from 2013 to 2019. The purpose of the work is to acquaint readers the sociocultural problems, which hampers migrants in everyday life to be realized as well as full-fledged members of society and assess the impact of the cultural barrier on the policy implemented by the state. Research includes internationally recognized different period migrant student Studies. The work emphasizes the main challenges of migrant students,which is accompanied by the life period in Georgia. In particular, language barrier, xenophobic attitudes, discrimination, different lifestyle and other social-cultural aspects, which prevents the integration process. The first part of the thesis concerns historical-theoretical bases, it describes international theories about the problems faced by migrant students in new states. These theories explain the first hypothesis of research and agrees that the major problems that migrant students face are social-cultural character. It includes the experience of states with regard to students' problems from different regions of the world. In this part of the work, the reader will be able to get acquainted with international experience. The second part of the work presents Georgian experience. It describes the theories which describes Georgian reality with regard to the subject of the study. This chapter describes the policy and approaches of governmental institutions in Georgia. It discusses the legislative framework that directly deals with migration regulation and integration related issues.
