The master's thesis was selected based on the direct practical purpose. At present, some of the Administrative Units (Autonomous Republic, Region, Municipality, and Local Governing City) in Georgia have the multidisciplinary geographical information system and relevant electronic map series or full complex-geographical atlas. The above-mentioned cartographic-geoinformation product is an important instrument for managing a specific territorialadministrative unit and planning and implementation of measurements to be conducted properly.
The purpose of the Master's thesis is to create one of the contrast - Khashuri Municipality Geoinformation System of Shida Kartli Region and the relevant electronic map collection (series) for practical purposes.
The field expedition has been conducted by the participation of the master's thesis author and thesis supervisor for the purpose of completing the master's thesis in a high-quality. The Local Municipal Offices have taken and collected: statistical, analytical, literary and cartographic sources. The existing objects have been visited and described on the territory of Khashuri Municipality. As a result of systematization and cartographic processing of the mentioned geoinformation, a map series has been created, which included the maps of natural and social events. At the next stage, the cause-effect analysis of maps and geo-database has been made and the practical recommendations have been provided in a textual form.
