Abstract
One of the gravest challenge of the civil integration is the ignorance of the state language
from the side of the national minorities which meaningfully hinders their participation in the
economic, political and social affairs of the country. The socialization process of the ethnical
minorities, in the first place includes promoting teaching the state language within the other
aspects. This should be produced at the age of school years. Thus, learning Georgian language is
compulsory in accordance with the general educational law for the nonGeorgian general
educational institutions and the subject is known with the name of Georgian as a secondary
language.
Depending on the name of our work the present research is concerning the topic of
teaching Georgian language as a second language at the lower secondary education based on the
text-books. This implies our interest to attentively realize numerous means and measures of
teaching.
Relevance of the topic: Georgia has always been a multiethnic country and still is. And
social integration of the ethnic minorities is the main mission of our country. One of the most
important aspects for their integration in the community is to overcome the lingual barrier,
and text-book plays a great role in terms of successfully operating the matter.
The aim of the research presents to reveal and analyse the existing problems and the
positive overalls in the teaching method of Georgian as a secondary language through using the
lower secondary education’s text-books.
The subject of the research is the methodical analysis of the lower secondary education’s
text-books of Georgian as a secondary language.
The target of the research is the lower secondary education’s text-books of Georgian as a
secondary language.
The hypothesis of the research subject - There are many different types of problems
manifested in the abovementioned text-books which hinders the implementation of teaching
the state language in its best way
