Alcohol consumption is one of the leading social problems in Georgia, as well as in whole
world. According to to the data of the World Health Organization, about 3 million people die per
year specifically from excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages. The researches of the
National Center for Disease Control and Public Health show that alcohol consumption is quite
popular among juveniles too. Due to the cultural environment of Georgia, drinking of alcoholic
beverages are accepted in almost every age group of both sexes.
Alcohol dependence becomes the reason of many social, psychological or biological
problems, becomes reason of stigma, social isolation and needs to react adequately from
professionals.
