Abstract
In our time, when human well-being, authority, career and public importance often depend on its business qualities and the ability to decide specific task better and faster than others, the more people think of the job as one of the most important spheres of life. This can not be called a bad trend. The work helps a person to develop, increases its self-esteem, gives him an opportunity to act on it. However, during an incorrectly organized regime, there may be negative moments, for example, professional deformation of personality, labor addicts. Part of people are dependent on self-employment through labor activities when it is important not the result of labor (high salaries, promotion, etc.), but the process itself as an obsessed idea.
The basic information about workoholism we get from foreign literature. In spite of the fact that in Georgia, the phenomenon is not paid much attention, I still think that there are many people with professional deformation and labor addiction and they demand attention, because with this addiction is suffering not only the person itself, but also his entourage.
In the scientific literature the workaholism is becoming more urgent. According to the database of Web of Science, the number of scientific articles has been significantly increased in recent foreign journals. In 1976-1990 31 articles were published on this theme, in the 1990-2000 -54 articles and 143 articles from 2001-2010, the number of articles in the last 15 years has tripled.
The aim of the article is to analyze and summarize the empirical data on the workaholism that has accumulated to date. And the purpose of the quantitative and qualitative research conducted by me is to determine the couses of workaholism and also what is more important for the organization: to have a workaholic employee or an enthusiastic employee.
