Abstract
“Georgian wine export potential and its growth perspectives” we will discuss wine export role in Georgian economic and potential of its export potential growth.
Wine is among important products, which Georgia produces for export. It is in the list of top 10 exported products, wholly consumes 5% of the export.
Georgia offered totally different product, Qvevri wine to the worlds wine market, there is nothing similar on the market that is the reason why it gets so much attention.
Today representatives of public and private sector work hard to learn about potential of wine export. Work consists of introduction and three chapters, in the first chapter we will discuss the history of Georgian wine, its traditions in Georgia and the modern problems that exist in winemaking. In the third chapter, we will talk about contributing factors for the growth of the Georgian wine export and its dynamics. As well as how to increase competitiveness of Georgian wine and the role of the state and the private sector in the process of Georgian wine production. We’ll discuss the potential of Georgian wine on international market in the fourth chapter.
Georgian wine has competitive advantage on international market, even though Georgia is a small country, Georgian wine market is a widely discussed topic as our country has a huge potential wine production-wise. It’s worth to note that based on the 2017 data provided by Geostat, wine takes 4th place in the list of the exported goods, which highlights the significance of wine market for Georgia. The research that we conducted and it’s outcome is presented in the fifth chapter: Current situation on the Georgian wine market and it’s prospective development within Georgia.
