Domestic crime is one of the most common and specific socio-problematic problems. Its relevance is determined by the fact that violence has become a challenge to modern society, therefore, the study and generalization of this problem is necessary at the both national and international levels. The master’s thesis "Domestic Violence" is presented in the form of 59 computer printed pages, which includes an introduction, three chapters, Which are divided into subsections, as well as the conclusion, the literature used, and the appendix.
The introduction of the thesis gives the relevance of the topic and the purpose, objectives and methods of the research are defined. The first chapter is the review of literature, which thoroughly describes the definition of domestic violence, the characteristic signs and factors, the forms of violence. The second chapter deals with the research / analysis of this problem, the situation of domestic violence in the legal system of Georgia is discussed, various practical examples are given, which clearly show the situation in the country. Besides, international legislation on domestic violence is also discussed in conjunction with national legislation and the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights. It also discusses the prevention of domestic violence and its legal regulation. The last third chapter includes, the findings, the results of the research and the conclusions.
