For the modern world terrorism is the key challenge to combat. At present, huge amount of resources are spent to achieve positive results, but we can’t avoid the fact that the big cities of America and Europe: New York, Paris, Brussels, Nice, Berlin, Manchester, Barcelona and others, have already been affected by terrorist attacks, which cause a great damage to the paths of democratic development of Euro-Atlantic countries, as well as to peaceful population (16 terrorist attacks were launched in 2004-2017). The countries’ attempt to tighten security measures and solve this problem is determined by the security defence .We can undoubtedly say that the major problem of security in 21st century is terrorism, which is symmetrical as well as assymetrical threat to the countries of the world. Nowadays, the most important guarantor of piece is considered to be North Atlantic Alliance, because of the most important steps it has already taken on doctrinal as well as practical levels. It is important to distinguish what kind of an influence these new kinds of dangers, such as terrorism, had and how terrorism reflected on the transformation of NATO’s strategic concepts and in which form it is presented in the new conceptual documents.
