The impact of soft power on Georgian - Turkish relations

The paper discusses pre-history of Georgian-Turkish relations and the current situation as well, including the accompanying problems and challenges we face in today's reality. Special focus is on the demographic situation in Georgia (as a problem for the small nations) and the role of negative effect derived from these circumstances in the conditions of soft power. Also, in one of the paragraphs of the work, there are evaluations from the researchers, which were received as a result of narrative interviews on the subject of the study.
The theoretical framework of the thesis is based on Joseph Nye's soft power policy, which clearly distinguishes characteristics of the foreign policy by strong states in relation with neighboring smaller states, mechanisms for use of force, as well as directions, where there is a soft power policy. The study analyzes the role of lobbyism and its elements in Georgian-Turkish relations as one of the means of using soft power. Its nature influences different components of relations (economic, political, religious, cultural, cognitive etc.) including the role of lobbyism in intelligence.
