The Master's Thesis,,Competition policy and general trends for its development in Georgia” concerns the problems of forming state antimonopoly policyin Georgia. Our aimwas to study the monopolization criteria, the establishment and realization stages of competitive policy in Georgia.Therefore, I think our research topic is actual. The task of a conducted research is to show, thatcompetition and healthy competitive environment are the guarantee for developing market relations,therefore, a country that recognizes market economy principles must try to develop progressive antimonopoly legislation and promote healthy competition.The subject of the conducted research is to study and analyze the facts of violation of antimonopoly legislation.The object of the research isinformation placed on the official website of Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure of Georgia, Ministry of Finance of Georgia, Competition Agency of Georgiaand National Statistics Office of Georgia. As a main result of our research we prove that, acceptance ofantimonopoly legislation is especially relevant not only for the highly developedcountriesbut also for developing countries,where without such legislation, it is impossible to stimulate theproduction and development of serviceinside the country and to enter the international market.The novelty of the conducted research is to show that the regulatory agency must reveal not a monopolistic firm but a monopolistic price.The existence of a monopoly itself does not reduce the benefit of the society - only the monopoly price generates losses.
