The present work will focus on the experience of demographic policy in EU countries and Georgia. The topic is chosen based on the actuality of the issue. The demographic indicators of the population of Georgia indicate the demographic crisis that is expressed by decreasing birth rate, increasing mortality, negative indicator of migration balance. The solution to this problem is to develop and implement a well-defined and consistent demographic policy. Fragmentary measures that are undertaken by the state for decades of demographic processes are not significant changes. Demographic indicators indicate this.

The critical demographic situation in Georgia has a complex character. From the point of view of economic development, the country belongs to the number of developing countries, and demographics - developed. More specifically, demographic behavior of Georgians is similar to Western Europeans. Due to the demographic policy, it is necessary to take into account the experience of the European countries.
