Abstract
Organizational developepment, as a profession, have become very popular in recend years.
More and more organizations are hiring organizational development consultants to
overcome the chrisises within the organization. The consultants are helping the companies
to hendle with their problems using different theories and teqnikues.
In this thesis, focus was made on OD personalized approaches, which contains personal
motivation issues. Many scientists, interested in personal motivation, see this case in their
unique point of view. Most of them are focused on internal and external motivators.
For some of the scientists, the main motivator-demotivator is working conditions and
environment. If the basic needs are not satisfied, it is difficult to boost motivation. Some
researchers believe that good working conditions are not a guarantee of high motivation.
Motivation is based on the complexity, competence and sense of being team member. Also
expectations, that his achievements will be appreciated and rewarded. But the most powerful
motivator is autonomy, professional improvement and perception of the purpose of the goal.
Staff motivation was studied by comparing social workers in Georgia who work in public and
non-governmental organizations. The focus on social workers was made by taking into
account their work specifics and working conditions.
