ეთნიკური უმცირესობების ინტეგრაციის საკითხი საქართველოში: გამოწვევებისა და საფრთხეების ანალიზი

The attitude towards ethnic minorities was felt from the time of the first constitution in
Georgia. The following work studies and shows the current circumstances about ethnic
minorities living in Georgia. The aim of this work is to introduce readers what steps are being
taken by the Georgian government in relation to ethnic minorities and if our country overviews
the basic principles of tolerance concept of 2009.
The first chapter of this work is dedicated to the historical experience of ethnic
minorities in Georgia. Also, what manner of attitude is about them through the establishment
of the First Republic of Georgia.
The second chapter describes the way which has passed to form the institutions of
ethnic minorities. Also, the focus is about the situation through language, social-economic
issues, mainly in Samtskhe – Javakheti and Kvemo Kartli.
The third part of the work presents general situation in western countries, what
mechanisms they use in relation of ethnic minorities and how effective it is.
To study this topic, we use qualitative research method. The research methodology includes
first and secondary sources, as well as an interview with experts and the students of ethnic
minorities. Based on this research, it was established that Georgian government overviews the
basic principles of tolerance concept of 2009, which truly improves integrational level of
ethnical minorities in Georgia.
